Review and Contest Policies

Review Policy

I am a Young Adult reader and reviewer, so I only accept YA books. I love to broaden my horizons, but my favorites are Urban Fantasy, Sci-fi, and Dystopian. I accept requests from publishers, authors, publicists, etc. for reviews, giveaways, author interviews, guest posts, book tours, etc.

• Books I personally request are promised a review
• If I accept a review request, I do not guarantee a review, but I will do my best.
• I prefer to receive eBooks, but I will review hard copies as well. It's just easier to take my Kindle with me, so .mobi files are the best.
• Books will be reviewed in the following order: pre-releases will be reviewed 2-4 weeks before publication date and books that are already released will be read on a first come, first serve basis. I cannot guarantee a specific timeline, but I will get to them as time allows (and my son, and my own personal writing. Phew!)

If providing me with an eBook for review, I prefer .mobi files. Thanks in advance! :)

When Sending a Review Request: Please include the following items:

• Your name 
• Your publisher's name (or let me know that your book is self-published)
• The book Title
• A brief synopsis of your book
• A link to your website
• As a sucker for covers, if you could include a photo of the cover, you'd make me a very happy panda.

If your email does not include all of these criteria, I will ignore it. If your email is not addressed to me personally, I will ignore it.

• Amazon

If there are other places you'd like me to post the review, just let me know and that can be arranged!
I get all book summaries and images from Goodreads.com.

**DISCLAIMER** Just because I agree to review a book, does not mean it will receive a 5-star review. I will be honest in all my reviews, but I will not bash an author's work. I understand the time and effort each author puts into their works, and I will respect it as such. However, if I truly cannot get through the book or will not be able to provide any kind of positive review, I will notify the appropriate sources. If it is a book for a blog tour, I will offer to provide another type of post. I will never paint an author or their hard work in a bad light. Not all books are for all readers, but respect will be shown in all instances.

Contest Policy

When hosting a giveaway there are a few rules to follow if entering:

• You must be 13 or older to enter.
• Winner will be chosen via random.org or Rafflecopter.
• The winner will have 48 hours to respond to the winning e-mail confirmation. If you do not respond within that time period, I will choose another winner.
• All giveaways are U.S. only, unless otherwise stated.
• I will not be responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged material during transit.
• When asked, please provide the correct mailing address. I will mail your prize to the address you provide. If there are any mistakes, I will not resend the prize. Please double check all information before replying to the e-mail confirmation.
• I will try to mail out all winnings within 14 days of receiving mailing information. I will email you the day I mail your package out to notify you as well.

All contests will use Google Doc forms or Rafflecopter to keep track of entries. Please do not leave your e-mail address in a comment. This will not be counted, unless otherwise specified.
